– Nikki Hynes (Google Reviews)

Good to Know:

The name “Smelter Town” comes from the town built around this smelter during its heyday in the late 1800s, which included a post office (which moved further down Highway 89 after its closure), saloon, dance hall and general store among other things.

The remains were found by two brothers while hiking near where their family had owned land since 1875 – they decided that it would make sense to start up this new venture!

Why Go?

  • Live music
  • Games

  • Pet friendly

The bartender was fabulously awesome. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the beers (although I found most of them to be average). I also love the taproom, which is built into the brewery. This is exactly how taprooms should be (centered around the Brewery first and then offering patrons tables and a place to drink). The taproom had tasteful reclaimed wood siding. There was a variety of beers to choose from, including some high ABV ones. While they are not currently offering flights, the bartender was very generous at offering samples of beers so I could pick the ones I liked best.
