Maryland Emancipation Day

Join us to celebrate Maryland’s Emancipation Day this November! Events will take place throughout Montgomery and Prince George’s counties throughout November to commemorate the abolition of slavery in Maryland. All events are open to the public and will be held virtually and in person at various historic sites.

Maryland Emancipation Day Celebration

Underground Railroad Guided Hikes
November 6 | Woodlawn Manor Cultural Park | 10 am – 12:30 pm and 1 – 3:30 pm
