Parks Playhouse Junior: New Orchestra of Washington’s Music Workshop

The New Orchestra of Washington is joining the Parks Playhouse Junior series at Montgomery County Parks to bring you performances for children ages three to twelve. Each of these three concerts will feature members of NOW’s brass sections (trumpet, horn, and trombone). Each concert will have a different theme that focuses on an element of music. These concerts are geared towards children and will contain an interactive component, so bring your little ones for a morning of entertainment and education!

This event will be hosted at the Wheaton Local Park playground, a site that was made with young musicians in mind. Make sure to check out the fun, musical components of the playground during your visit!

If you can’t make it to the workshop this summer, check out their YouTube series coming soon that details all of the content so you can participate in the fun at home! The location of the videos might seem familiar, as it was filmed right in our very own Wheaton Local Park playground.
