#1 Vulture City Ghost Town and Gold Mine

Go on a good old fashioned ghost hunt at Vulture City Ghost Town this year! Not appropriate for children under 5, this tour is reputed as a scary one.

#2 Slaughterhouse

Voted the number one haunted house in the country, the Slaughterhouse is an adult targeting haunted house in Tucson, located in Southern Arizona.

It is divided up into five different attractions including the infested Boiler Room, the Apocalypse, and Voodoo Bayou.

#3 Birdcage Theatre

“The town that never dies” holds ghost tours seven days a week at the infamous Bird Cage theatre. One tour is for families, allowing children as young as seven years old to participate.

#4 Ghost Hunting Tours at Colossal Cave

Explore Colossal Cave and hunt for ghosts while using the latest paranormal equipment. The tours through the cave are open to guests five years old and older.

#5 AZ Field of Screams

Walk through this haunted cornfield if you dare! Watch out, as there are many live actors in different costumes ready to scare you. There will also be an opportunity to pet the farm animals.

Tolmachoff Farms offers a 6-acre corn maze with an annually changing theme and while that’s meant for families, it you dare, you can try their haunted corn maze.

They also have a big pumpkin patch, mini corn maze, petting zoo, play areas, jumping pillow and more.

There are also pumpkins, train rides, tomato cannon and food vendors for additional fees. 

#6 Terror in the Corn

Hosted by Buckelew Farm, the Field of Screams, the Shady Acres Asylum, and the Circus of Horror this year at the Terror in the Corn!

#7 Scarizona Scaregrounds

#9 Fear Farm Haunted House

Touted by ABC News as a “must visit” haunted house, this is one of the most popular spots in Glendale. The dates and themes for this year are pending, but they advise against bringing anyone under thirteen.

#10 13th Floor Haunted House

According to USA Today, this haunted house is one of the top five in the country! With over one thousand five star reviews, this haunted house in downtown Phoenix offers several different terrifying attractions.

#11 Yuma Nightmares Haunted House

Plan to spend a half an hour at this haunted house, and wear footwear conducive to walking in sand! This massive haunted house covers around one acre and will have around fifty actors ready to send a chill down your spine.

#13 Old Bisbee Ghost Tour

Walk through the streets, alleys, and stairways of old haunted Bisbee on your Ghost Tour!

#14 Hotel Monte Vista (The Meat Man)

Book your stay at the Hotel Monte Vista in Northern Arizona, but make sure to check out room 220. This room housed a very peculiar guest, who died in the room.

He hung raw meat from the ceiling, and they say his ghost still haunts the room to this day, messing with the television and grabbing guests in their sleep!

#15 Most Haunted Hike at Lost Dutchman State Park

Hike around the Superstition Mountains on this trail that spans over two miles! There are a number of trails to hike at Lost Dutchman State Park, but the most haunted is called Treasure Loop. Beware – there have been reports of ghost sightings on this trail!

From mazes, to the old west ghost town, to crazy stunts, Nightfall at Old Tucson promises to be quite the show. There is a kid friendly train ride that runs every day prior to sunset, and the train will run again after nightfall and is recommended for adults only.

#18 Willis Farms

Closed on Sundays, the Willis Farms Festivities will include a corn maze and a haunt. There will be a special Kid Haunt on October 29 that is specifically geared toward families with little ones in tow.

#19 A Haunting Experience Tour

#23 The Domes of Casa Grande

While the Thornton Road Domes have signs up stating it’s private property, you can still see from a distance. There are spooky stories about these domes which are quite entertaining.

Inside the domes there are some creepy acoustics and unique art. Definitely worth reading up on the history and spooky past before you go. 

Visiting a Haunted Attraction in Arizona – Know Before You Go

  • Make sure to check the website and Facebook page of the haunted attraction you wish to visit for some potentially scary good savings. If you want to avoid the crowds, try not going on a weekend night (although some places are only open on the weekends).
  • While it’s fun to bring your entire family members and friends to go, keep in mind not all of these places are meant for kids. So if you’re planning on bringing kids, make sure to check the venues website for detail.
  • There are some venues that are set-up for young children, while others are for older teens or adults only. These are not for the faint of heart!
  • Some of the events also offer other attractions, live music and more.
  • It’s recommended if you have heart conditions or are pregnant, to not visit these haunted attractions.
