Every year my kids look forward to attending some of the areas summer concert series. It’s pretty easy to find friends to go with us as it’s fun and free!
So I rounded up all the summer concerts happening this year in the DC metro area so your family can enjoy them too!
Northern Virginia
Summer Concert Series at Tysons Corner Center
May – July | Schedule
Concerts are from 4pm – 6:30pm and 7pm – 9pm. The scheduled performers are:

Reston Concerts on the Town at Reston Town Center
Saturdays, May 17 – Aug 23| Schedule
The Reston Town Center holds Concerts on the Town on Saturdays from May 17 to August 23, 2025 from 7:30pm to 10pm rain or shine. Bring your lawn chairs or picnic blankets, and enjoy a free concert!
Kids Concert Series
June 2 – Aug 25 | Schedule
Every Monday at the OneLoudoun Plaza, Rocknoceros plays original hits for the kids from 11am to 12pm.
Summer JAMS, Leesburg’s Outdoor Summer Concert Series
Saturdays, June 7 – Aug 23 | Schedule
Don’t miss the ever-popular summer concert series at Downtown Leesburg. Concerts are held every Saturday from June 8 to August 17, (no concert July 5 August 9).
The concert is free. You can even bring a lawn chair or blanket with you. Picnics are encouraged!!
Note: No smoking or pets will be allowed in the grass listening area.
Arrowbrook Centre Park
Saturdays, June – Aug | Schedule
Enjoy free summer concerts with your family on Saturday evenings at Arrowbrook Centre Park.
This series of public concerts spans a wide range of musical acts sure to excite young and old. Bring the entire family, pack the picnic basket, and enjoy being out under the stars with great music.

Arts in the Parks
Wednesdays & Saturdays, June – August | Schedule
Swap Saturday morning cartoons for live music, magic, and dancing at Arts in the Parks!
This free Fairfax County program entertains kids, teaches them about nature, and might even land them on stage with the performers – making it the coolest outing in town!
Arts in the Parks offers a variety of shows throughout Fairfax County! Catch live music, magic, and dance:
- Saturday mornings at 10am: Burke Lake Park, Mason District Park, E.C. Lawrence Park, and Wakefield Park.
- Wednesdays at 10am: Frying Pan Park.
- Want an evening option? Head to Mosaic Center at 6pm or Sully Historic Site at 7pm on Saturdays.
Braddock Nights
Fridays and Saturdays, July 5 – Aug 16 | Schedule
The 2024 Braddock Nights Concert Series is held at Royal Lake Park and Lake Accotink Park on Friday evenings from 7:30pm, and at Wakefield Park on Saturday mornings from 10am.
The series runs from July 5 to August 16, 2024. Some of the featured performers this year include:

Falls Church Summer Concerts in the Park

Hunter Mill Melodies

This FREE concert series brings amazing music from all over to Frying Pan Farm Park every Wednesday and Thursday!

Bethesda Concert Series – Friday Summer Concerts

Free concerts showcase rock, blues, jazz, international and swing music. Concerts are held May 17 to September 20, 2024 on Fridays from 6pm in Veterans Park located at the corner of Norfolk and Woodmont Avenues.
Fair Hill Shops Concert Series

Fair Hill Shops in Olney is rocking out all summer with a FREE concert series running Thursdays, June 27th through September 26th.
Catch a kid-friendly show in the mornings and then come back for a family concert in the evenings.

Gaithersburg Kids Concert Series

Morning Concerts for Kids are held at the City Hall Concert Pavilion. Admission is free and there is a parking garage located next to the pavilion. Performances are on Wednesdays from June 5 to July 24, 2024 at 10:30am.
Glen Echo Summer Concert Series
