Cirque Dreams Holidaze MGM National Harbor
Cirque Dreams Holidaze MGM National Harbor in Oxon Hill, MD plays like a dream sequence with vignettes of sparkling acrobatic feats that Cirque du Soleil is renowned for with the addition of singing and dancing. This holiday show is great for the entire family and is fast paced enough to keep the kids enraptured.
The set is decorated in neon fantastical structures that will inspire the youngest minds to dream of sparkling ornaments that come alive and larger than life polar bears that gracefully whisk through the stage.
I brought my 8 year old son, 10 year old daughter and 13 year old teen girl. My 8 year old said the color and acrobats were “cool”, my 10 year old loved the fantastical set and my 13 year old said it kept her attention.
For my 55 year old partner and for my 45 year old mind, Cirque Dreams Holidaze brought us both back to the magic and awe of the holiday season. The acrobatic gingerbread men and flying and acrobatic fairies sparks the imagination for the possibilities of the human creativity.
Cirque Dreams Holidaze is the perfect family holiday show but would also make a great date night with dinner and drinks after at the casino or nearby National Harbor. My family walked around the MGM casino after the show to see the beautiful holiday decorations.
This 2 hour show runs through Dec. 23 with a 2 pm and 7:30 pm show nightly. There is a 20 min intermission for a bathroom break for your littles.
If you don’t make it this year, keep an eye out for another Cirque production at MGM casino next year. Also note that although there are many similarities in with Cirque du Soleil in both name and performance this is not a Cirque du Soleil production.
