Selfie Wrld is a hidden gem in Tyson’s Corner. I recently heard about this place that is all about taking selfies, as the name suggests.
I was intrigued and booked a visit for myself and my children.
I expected we would get a few great insta-worthy photos but what I did not expect was to have so much fun while we were at it!
What to Expect at Selfie Wrld
When you enter Selfie Wrld, a staff member will go over a few rules and then set you up with a stand-up selfie stick and remote.
They will then help you pair your phone with the remote so you can take as many selfies as you like with the click of a button.
As a Mom who is hardly ever in pictures I was absolutely thrilled with this set-up! The selfie sticks were very easy to use and bend to get just the right shot.
Selfie Wrld is full of sets in just about any every theme imaginable from circus to 50s-diner to a first class airplane to Pride to jail and so many more. There is even a ball pit.
My kids and I had the best time going from set to take taking photos together and on our own. My kids favorites were the ball pit (of course) and several sets that had different types of swings and swinging chairs.
My son had a lot of fun throwing fake hundred-dollar bills in the air in the “dirty money” set while my daughter had a blast in the “Fashion Jail” and jumping on a mini-trampoline to get action shots.
They both loved the locker room set, specifically jumping out of the lockers, and climbing on a basketball hoop.
I loved having fun with my kids in all of the different sets and I really love that I got to be in some photos – something that is all too rare for most Moms.
I went to Selfie Wrld expecting it to be something nice to do while shopping at Tyson’s. After going, I now know it is worth the trip just for a visit. This really is a hidden gem!
What Else to Do
Selfie Wrld is great for any day you just want to have fun and there are some other occassions when we could see visiting.
First, this is a great place for parties! There is a private party room that you can reserve or go big and rent out the entire place.
This is also a great location to take photos for any big announcement or occasion. Think:

Hours & When to Go (and How Long to Stay)
Each ticket is good for an hour starting from the time you are all set-up with your selfie stand and remote.
We found it worth the money and even with so many backdrop options, it’s definitely possible to stop at them all within the timeframe given.
Selfie Wrld Tysons is open from 11am to 9pm Monday through Thursday, 10am to 9pm Friday and Saturday, and 11am to 7pm on Sundays.
Pricing & Tickets
Tickets are $25 for adults and $20 for children 12 and under. A 360 photo is available for an extra $5.00. Tickets can be purchased online here.
Good to Know
- Selfie stands and remotes are provided and staff will help you pair them to your phone for easy use.
- Walk-ins are welcome. However, advance tickets are recommended since a limited number of people are allowed in at any one time to ensure everyone can get their selfies!
- Kids are welcome but must be supervised at all times to make sure they don’t damage the sets or props.
- There is a changing room in case you want some wardrobe changes during your visit.
- Even though the idea is to take selfies, Selfie Wrld does have a resident photographer that can be booked for your visit for an additional charge.
