Amazing Farm Fun at Ticonderoga’s Fall Festival

The autumn season is upon us and with that comes a fantastic selection of seasonal festivities!  This is quite the time of year for crisp apples, hayrides and pumpkin patches and Amazing Farm Fun @ Ticonderoga knows just how to offer the community a great place to spend a fall day.  Their Fall Festival runs from now until October 31st.

Easily accessible from Route 28 and 50, Amazing Farm Fun @ Ticonderoga is situated off a long, dirt, gravely road.  Parking is in a gravel lot and is a short walk to the entrance.  If you have little ones who tire easily, feel free to bring a stroller, as there is a lot of space to cover once inside of the park.

Amazing Farm Fun @ Ticonderoga is a wide-open farm filled with something for everyone.  We spent three hours there last Sunday and the only reason we had to wrap it up was because our 3 year old needed a nap.  Families could easily spend most of their day enjoying all of the excitement at this farm!

With your paid admission, Amazing Farm Fun @ Ticonderoga has set up a farm atmosphere full of fantastic hillside slides, live music (check schedule), swings, fire pits, Noah’s ark playground, tunnels, forts, a really neat bamboo chime, several play homes, tether ball, a cow train, and a just right hayride out to pick your own pumpkin at their pumpkin patch.  For the tots, head on over to Tot Land where you will find swings, a playhouse and a couple of seesaws.  Spend some time feeding the goats, too!  They love the company.  We also indulged in a little face painting during our stay ($5 per person).

One of our family favorites was the gigantic jump and bounce pillow!  Take your shoes off and head up to the massive inflatable bouncing pillow.  It has some kick to it so just be careful if you have little ones.  You will definitely want to go with them and help them out.  Our children had a blast on it and if it was up to them we would probably still be there jumping on it.

As with many of the pumpkin festivals around town, Amazing Farm Fun @ Ticonderoga offers a small selection of concessions (hot dogs, sandwiches, chicken tenders, nachos, hummus, tater tots, snacks, drinks, etc.)  Prices range anywhere from $1 to $8. We recommend packing a picnic and taking advantage of the various picnic spots on the farm.  We packed our cooler and left it in the car.  When it was time for lunch, we enjoyed our picnic at one of the picnic tables on the farm.

If you are looking for a fall festival that is not overly commercialized yet has many exciting offerings, check out Amazing Farm Fun @ Ticonderoga this fall season.  Our children (ages 3, 5 and 7) bounced from one activity to the next as we spent a beautiful fall day enjoying the farm!  Also included in your admission is a small sized pumpkin or gourd.  This was a perfect way to end our family fun day!
