While we visit for the beach, there’s something about enjoying the water parks in Rehoboth Beach Delaware that just adds a little more excitement to our visit!
While Rehoboth Beach is a smaller beach, it’s that time of year and they still have some great water parks to enjoy! Plus, there are some water parks you could easily go to on a day trip.
Here I’ll share with you the waterparks in Rehoboth Beach, as well as some nearby water park and overall water fun!
Some of these Delaware water parks are even a mix of waterparks and theme parks. While there are no roller coasters in the First State, there are still lots of fun family entertainment options.Â
#1 Jungle Jim

Jungle gym is home to the largest water park in the region. This is a great place for the entire family to have fun.
The River Safari Water Park has all the usual suspects of any great waterpark including fun things like:
- Lazy river
- Double tubes
- Huge water slides
- Wave pool
- Kiddie pool
While it’s easy to have a great time here just at the water park, the entire park actually has a lot more activities to including batting cages, two mini-golf courses (yes, including an 18-hole miniature golf course).
And of course, you can cool off with some ice cream!
Local tip: Jungle Jim’s is open almost daily from Memorial Day to Labor Day. If you want to avoid the crowds, they tend to be busiest from Tuesday to Thursday.
#2 Midway Speedway Park
18645 Coastal Hwy, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971
Like jungle gym, Midway Speedway park is a family entertainment center. Their water park, White Water Mountain Water Park, is the perfect place to spend the day.
It’s great when the kids can play and have a great time while you enjoy the large tropical deck.
At the water park they have:
- Open and closed body flumes
- An activity pool
- large tropical sunbathing deck
- Waterslides
Midway Speed Park also has other fun activities like go-kart tracks, bumper boats, climbing wall and mini golf which they call Fire Mountain golf.

While all ages will enjoy this waterpark, older kids will definitely enjoy the additional fun with the variety of activities.

#3 Thunder Lagoon Water Park – Viking Golf & Go Karts
Distance from Rehoboth Beach: 35 minutes
Located on Fenwick Island, Thunder Lagoon waterpark is located in the park’s little Viking Village and has:
- 6 waterslides (body slides, double twister slides and more)
- A huge activity pool
- 800-foot kiddie pool for the younger visitors
- 400-foot lazy river
- Viking ship
They also have various concessions with burgers, fries, pizza, funnel cakes, ice cream and more available.
They also have Viking Golf (mini golf) and go-karts at Viking Park.
#4 Jolly Roger Amusement Park
Distance from Rehoboth Beach: 45 minutes
​Ocean City is a big tourist, summer destination on the East Coast and there you’ll find one of the biggest amusement parks in the city. It also happens to be home to Splash Mountain Water Park.
While many people go for the ferris wheel and other roller coasters, this is one water park you don’t want to miss.
They have:
- Aqualoop
- 45-foot high half pipe slide
- Master Blaster water roller coaster
- 3 kiddie pools
- Lazy Lagoon family pool
- Rainforest play area
Did You Know? The Travel Channel named Splash Mountain Water Park one of the top 5 water parks in the entire country.
This is definitely one of the great amusement parks in Ocean City.
Local tip: if you visit the park between Wednesday and Sunday from 12 to 2pm, there are real, live mermaids swimming around and they just may happen to have temporary tattoos and face glitter.

#5 Killens Pond Water Park
Distance from Rehoboth Beach: 55 minutes
Only an hour from New Castle and located inside Killens Pond State Park, is Killens Pond Water Park which has:
- Multiple slides (including twisting waterslides)
- Kiddie pool (including a zero-depth baby pool)
- Small slides for the little ones
- Mushroom fountain
- Lily pad fun walk
- Beach volleyball
- And more
You may also want to save some time to visit the state park when you’re done. You’ll want to visit Gordons Pond and the nature center
Local tip: they also have a swim shop in case you forget anything, as well as food concessions. Plus you can visit Slaughter Beach afterwards which is just under 30 minutes away.
#6 Morey’s Piers & Beachfront Water Parks
Distance from Rehoboth Beach: 2 hours, 15 minutes
While you will need to cross state lines into New Jersey, it’s a bit more fun and exciting to do as you can take the ferry across the water.
If you want to be at the beach and still enjoy a water park, this is where you need to go!
Morey’s Piers has 2 water parks:
- Ocean Oasis Water Park and
- Raging Waters Water Park
You really can’t go wrong with either.
They’re located on the beautiful beaches which gives great views, especially from the top of the water slides.
The Ocean Oasis Water Park has a tropical theme throughout and the Raging Waters Water Park has more of a shipwreck theme.
